With the M1 Garand dropping in season 3, the Vargo 52 arriving in season 4, and the highly-anticipated Ram-7 releasing in season 5 with a Mythic variant, there’s plenty to be excited about. Let’s break down all the major balance changes, weapon additions, and leaked character skins for season 3 and beyond.
Weapon balance changes in season 3
The season 3 weapon balance update is heavily focused on buffs, making several guns stronger and more viable in competitive play. Interestingly, the USS 9 remains unchanged, despite community requests for a nerf.
Assault rifle and SMG buffs
- CR-56 Amax – This AR gets a range profile buff, extending its second damage phase to 30 meters. Additionally, its low-on multiplier increases from 1 to 1.1, and the Gunner Stock now provides a +10% range boost, making it more effective at long-range combat. The M67 ammo type also receives a 1.3 upper arm multiplier buff, increasing its lethality.
- Krig 6 – The range is improved from 15m-26m to 17m-30m, along with better bullet spread accuracy (BSA), making it more accurate in mid-range fights.
- MX9 – The upper arm multiplier increases from 1 to 1.06, and BSA is improved, making it a more reliable SMG.
- Type 25 – The low-on multiplier is increased from 1 to 1.1, making it more consistent in damage output.
- ICR-1 – The low-on multiplier jumps from 1 to 1.1, improving its hit consistency.

Marksman rifle buffs

- Kilo Bolt-Action – Headshot multiplier increases from 1.5 to 3.6, making headshots deadly at almost any range.
- SP-R 208 – Headshot multiplier improves from 2 to 2.6, increasing its one-shot potential.
- MK2 Carbine – Headshot multiplier moves from 2.6 to 2.3, balancing its power slightly.
Sniper rifle buff
- M21 EBR – The one-shot range increases from 10m to 14m, making it stronger in long-range fights.
The only nerf: Flameknot
The Flameknot receives a major nerf, with HP dropping from 600 to 400, making it easier to counter in multiplayer matches.
New weapons coming in seasons 3, 4, and 5
Call of Duty Mobile is adding three new weapons over the next few seasons, including a legendary marksman rifle, a Cold War AR, and a Mythic bullpup AR.
Season 3: M1 Garand
The M1 Garand marksman rifle is finally arriving in season 3. This semi-automatic weapon is expected to come with a Legendary variant, making it a must-have for long-range combat enthusiasts.
Season 4: Vargo 52
The Vargo 52 from Call of Duty: Cold War will be the featured weapon in season 4. It’s a full-auto AR with good medium-range damage, fast fire rate, and high muzzle velocity, making it a well-rounded assault rifle.
Season 5: Ram-7 (Mythic Variant)
The Ram-7 is set to arrive in season 5, featuring a Mythic skin inspired by Van Gogh’s Starry Night painting. This compact bullpup AR is best for close-quarters combat, making it a great pick for aggressive playstyles.
Operator skill and equipment buffs
Several operator skills and perks are getting buffed in season 3, enhancing support roles and defensive strategies.
- Control Field – Active duration increases from 18 seconds to 45 seconds, allowing players to cover objectives for almost an entire Hardpoint rotation.
- Goliath – Movement speed debuff increases from 25% to 35%, making it slower and easier to counter.
- Serpentine – Damage resistance jumps from 18% to 25%, making it even harder to take down fast-moving players.
